Why this curved glass cake display fridge earns its place
The DC470 is Blizzard's 1.5m curved-glass low-height merchandiser, a refrigerated display cabinet built to show off cakes, patisserie, desserts and chilled grab-and-go lines behind a sweep of curved glass. The low-height build keeps the top of the cabinet below eye level, so customers see across it and staff can reach the display easily — a natural fit for a counter-side dessert or food-to-go position in a café, bakery or deli.
Day to day it runs on automatic defrost, so the cabinet manages its own defrost cycle without staff intervention, and it carries a climate class 3 rating for use in a normally warm, humid interior. It is quiet in service at 55 dB, which matters for a cabinet sitting in a customer-facing counter area. The sealed system uses R290, a hydrocarbon refrigerant.
The cabinet measures 1516 × 693 × 1220 mm (W × D × H), so measure your counter run and any doorways or lift access on the delivery route before it arrives — at 230 kg it is a substantial unit to position. Plan a spot that gives the curved glass clear sightlines to customers and leaves the cabinet room to breathe. As an R290 hydrocarbon system, keep to the manufacturer's ventilation and siting guidance.
