Why this beer fridge earns its place
The GE997 is a single-door back bar cooler from Polar's G-Series, set up for behind-the-bar chilled storage rather than open display. It holds 128 litres across two adjustable shelves, with a solid door keeping stock out of sight and shielded from the room, so it works as the cold hold that feeds a busy service — beers, mixers and canned stock kept ready to pour without cluttering the front of house.
This is holding storage, not a display cabinet: staff restock it between services and pull from it during them, keeping the bar top clear. It sits in the bar line as a single-door unit, so it slots into a run of under- or back-bar equipment without dominating the space. The unit is notably compact at just 600mm deep, 850mm high and 600mm wide, weighing only 48kg, making it a practical fit for smaller bar runs or intimate venues. R600a natural refrigerant and fan-assisted cooling hold +2–8°C, and the energy class A rating means low running costs on just 180W at 230V mains.
Plan the install around a single-door footprint in the back-bar run, allowing clearance for the door swing and for airflow around the cabinet. The exact external dimensions, weight, refrigerant and electrical supply are listed in the spec table, so you can check the gap and the socket before it arrives.
