Why this single door upright glass door freezer earns its place
The Atom Maxi F1DBB is a single-door upright display freezer that merchandises frozen stock behind a hinged glass door. It offers 0.84 m² of display area across five adjustable shelves, with 560 litres gross and 390 litres net of freezing space. The black RAL9005 cabinet and glass front make it a floor-standing point-of-sale unit for shops and food outlets showing ice cream, ready meals and other packaged frozen lines to customers.
It runs at -22 to -18 °C with automatic defrost and an electronic controller. The freezer is rated climate class 3 for temperate ambient conditions and carries energy class C with an energy efficiency index of 34.8%. On verified consumption of 3310.6 kWh a year that works out at about £828 a year at 25p/kWh. Measured noise is 61 dB, so it is better suited to trading floors and stockrooms than quiet front-of-house spaces.
Internally the cabinet measures 630 × 580 × 1538 mm (W×D×H) and weighs 158.5 kg gross. It uses R290 refrigerant with an 85 g charge, draws 600 W and connects to a standard 13 A single-phase supply.
