Why this double door upright glass door freezer earns its place
The Galaxy+ GPF2D is a double-door upright display freezer finished in white, built to merchandise frozen stock behind two hinged heated glass doors. It puts 2.1 m² of glazed display area in front of the customer, so packs, tubs and bagged goods stay visible and shoppable while held solidly frozen. The heated doors keep the glass clear for browsing rather than fogging over in a busy retail aisle.
Inside, the cabinet runs from -21 to -18 °C under an electronic controller, deep enough for long-term frozen holding. Defrost is automatic hot-gas, so there is no manual routine to schedule, and cooling uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant with a 110 g charge. It carries an energy class D rating with an EEI of 42.3%, and at 65 dB it suits a back-of-house or aisle-end position rather than a quiet front-of-house spot. Running cost works out at about £2038 a year at 25p/kWh.
For installation, the freezer draws from a dedicated 16 A supply at 220-240 V/50 Hz, with an input power of 1906 W. It is a heavy unit — 488 kg gross, 463 kg net — and arrives crated at 1800 × 850 × 2390 mm (W×D×H), so plan delivery access, doorways and final positioning before it lands. Siting it with clear airflow around the condenser keeps it pulling temperature efficiently.
