Why this static cooled ice cream display freezer earns its place
The Tefcold IC202SC-SO is a scoop-style ice cream freezer for serving loose ice cream straight from the tub. It holds pans behind a display top so staff can scoop to order while customers see the flavours, which suits parlour counters, kiosks and cafés adding a scooping line. The cabinet and its painted-steel interior are finished in white.
It works to a -24 to -14 °C display band and holds a gross 191 litres of product. Defrost is manual and the controls are mechanical, so the routine is straightforward: set the dial, and run it down for a manual defrost when it needs one. It runs at 45 dB on R600a refrigerant and is rated to climate class 5. On energy it carries class D at 543.5 kWh a year — about £136 a year at 25p/kWh.
It draws 200 W from a standard 13 A supply, so it plugs into a normal socket with no special electrics. It weighs 92 kg, so plan for that on delivery and siting. The internal display area measures 600 × 510 × 655 mm; check the external dimensions in the spec table against your counter run before ordering. The refrigerant is R600a with a 55 g charge.
