Why this display freezer earns its place
The Vestfrost DFG505 is a display chest freezer — a top-access frozen cabinet with a sliding glass lid that shows product so customers can see and self-select what is inside. It holds 492 litres of frozen stock, making it substantial enough to support a real frozen impulse range. It is built to merchandise ice cream, ice lollies, frozen meals and other frozen lines, turning freezer space into a selling display rather than back-of-house storage.
Day to day it maintains -16 to -19°C, the correct temperature band for holding frozen products safely. Keep the cabinet out of direct sun and clear of heat sources (ovens, radiators, heaters), as these make the unit work harder and increase running costs. Follow the manufacturer's defrost and cleaning routine to keep it running efficiently, and use the built-in castors to move it for cleaning if needed.
The chest format sits low and stands freestanding. Plan the floor footprint carefully: it measures 1570mm wide, 905mm tall and 610mm deep, weighing 73kg gross. It runs on 220-240V at 180W, refrigerated with R290. There is a 3-year warranty. Confirm the socket and electrical supply on site before delivery. Craven Cooling can advise on siting and arrange servicing to keep it running smoothly through the seasonal peaks.
