Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The Blizzard BDF52 is a curved glass-lid display freezer: a chest-format cabinet that shows frozen stock through the glass lid so customers can see what is inside before they lift it. It is a merchandising freezer first — the clear lid puts tubs, boxed ice cream and frozen impulse lines on show, which is what makes it earn its footprint at the point of sale.
It runs on R290, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant with low global-warming impact, and uses manual defrost, so it needs periodic defrosting as part of routine cleaning rather than doing it automatically. At 48 dB it is quiet enough to sit front-of-house, and its climate class 4 rating means it is built to hold temperature in warmer ambient conditions than a standard indoor cabinet.
The cabinet measures 1530 × 680 × 850 mm (W×D×H) and weighs 72.5 kg gross, so it is light enough to reposition and sits at a comfortable serving height. Allow clear space around it for airflow and plan for the manual defrost cycle when you site it. For access or fit questions, our team can talk through the working dimensions before you order.
