Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The Tefcold IC552SC/UK is a chest freezer with sliding flat glass lids, built to display packaged and tubbed ice cream at the point of sale. The glass tops let customers see the range while the cabinet holds it frozen, which suits parlours, forecourts and shops merchandising impulse frozen lines. It is finished in white with a white painted-steel interior.
It is static-cooled and works to a -24 to -14 °C band, holding a gross 555 litres (486 litres net). Defrost is manual and the controls are mechanical. It runs at 45 dB on R290 refrigerant with a 120 g charge. On energy it carries class D at 1115.6 kWh a year — about £279 a year at 25p/kWh.
The cabinet draws 365 W and runs from a 220–240 V supply. It weighs 114 kg gross, so plan delivery and siting around that. As a chest-format cabinet it takes floor space rather than a wall run; the internal load area measures 1630 × 510 × 655 mm. Check the external dimensions in the spec table against your doorway and the route in before ordering.
