Why this high density chopping boardsbpa-free product earns its place
Bakery stations demand their own space and their own boards. This yellow-coded large format (600 × 450 mm) is colour-designated for bread and pastry, so flour and yeast stay segregated from your meat, fish and vegetable prep. At just 12 mm thick, it's lightweight—easy to manoeuvre when you're stretching dough, shaping croissants or proofing rolls—but still solid enough to handle rolling pins and dough-stretching forces without flex.
High-density polyethylene is a bakery dream: it doesn't absorb flour dust, water or oil, so it stays hygienic across a multi-hour bake shift. Unlike wooden boards, which trap flour and ferment moisture, HDPE cleans completely in seconds and dries instantly. Non-absorbent means no mould harbouring in seams, no stale-flour odours, no cross-contamination.
The large footprint (600 × 450 mm) is generous—plenty of space for a full dough batch, croissant lamination, or pastry work. At 3.3 kg, it's still easy to pick up and move between stations. Colour coding isn't optional in catering law; yellow flags this board as bakery-only, so it never ends up under raw poultry or in a meat station by accident.
