Why this chopping board setsbpa-free product earns its place
Cross-contamination happens in layers: first, bacteria gets onto a surface; then it transfers to the next food. This Hygiplas set interrupts both steps. The colour-coded system (one colour per food type: raw meat, fish, cooked, allergens, salads, baked goods, vegetables) keeps food types separate. The antibacterial layer built into the polyethylene actively inhibits bacterial growth on the board itself.
That dual approach matters. A standard plastic board is clean when it comes out of the wash, but bacteria can colonise it within hours. An antibacterial board keeps the surface hostile to bacterial growth between washes — it's a second line of defence, not a substitute for proper cleaning, but a meaningful difference in a kitchen where food safety is the priority.
At 450×300 mm, these boards are a useful mid-size: bigger than hand-prep boards, smaller than full-production surfaces, perfect for a single workstation or small team. The 10 mm thickness gives stability without bulk, and at 10.2 kg per set they're durable enough for regular commercial use. Dishwasher safe and designed for the pace of a real kitchen, they're the kind of tool that works because they don't get in the way.
