Why this plate earns its place
The hand-applied rim gives each plate slight colour variation and texture, reading as handmade craftsmanship on the table while remaining hard-wearing enough for daily commercial service. Grey porcelain holds a plate without fuss — it complements both light and robust plating without the flatness of pure white or the visual weight of heavier charcoals.
Stacking is tight and stable. At 21 mm height they nest efficiently, reducing breakage in transit and storage. The coupe shape (rim shallow enough to slide without catching) means a passthrough washer handles them well; the porcelain is fired hard enough to survive repeated commercial cycles without crazing or chipping easily.
A 180 mm side plate sits between a dinner plate and a starter, making it versatile in multi-course service: use it for cheese and bread, light appetisers, or as a palette-cleanser plate between courses.
