Why this plate earns its place
An oblong platter is a workhorse of modern table service. The Renoir's 28 cm length gives enough room to plate two main courses side by side, or to compose a family-style spread of roasted vegetables, grains and sauce without crowding. The 13.5 cm width sits comfortably on a standard table without overhanging the cutlery or pushing drinks off the edge. Vitrified porcelain's glazed surface resists staining and won't absorb the fat or broth that can leave ghost marks on unglazed edges.
The shape nests reasonably flat in a commercial dishwasher, taking up less vertical space than round plates when you're cycling through a plated service. The ivory body colour is intentionally neutral—it won't fight with food plating or the tablecloth. The soft decoration mentioned by the maker adds visual interest without becoming a distraction when the plate is loaded.
