Why this plate earns its place
A 255mm coupe plate built for Asian-focused and contemporary menus where the bright glaze lifts the plating. The reactive blue finish means each piece has subtle variation—no two plates are identical, a working advantage when patrons photograph their food. The coupe shape (curved sides rather than a flat rim) contains sauces and keeps taller ingredients seated.
Stoneware is denser and harder-wearing than earthenware; the midnight blue with black outer rim is a proven traffic pattern in mid-range restaurants and hotels. The unglazed foot grips the table and prevents the plate sliding when a service is fast. Stack tightly for storage—the glaze finish is scratch-resistant.
Each 255mm plate sits comfortably in standard restaurant rollouts and fits most undercounter dishwashers. Not suitable for freezer storage, though microwave reheating is possible (heat the plate before plating, never plate directly from cold).
