Why this plate earns its place
The 260mm dinner plate is the workhorse of modern service — large enough for a plated main and small enough to fit a tight table turn. Stonecast's hand-painted sage green glaze over super-vitrified ceramic makes the plate itself part of the visual composition, not just a blank canvas. The coupe shape keeps food visually contained and makes plating more forgiving than a flat rim, especially under service pressure.
Super-vitrified ceramic is harder and denser than standard vitrified ware. It absorbs less glaze, which means less water seepage and more durability under repeated wash cycles. The material resists chipping at vulnerable points like the rim, and the glaze does not craze or fade through a commercial dishwasher's heat. The sage green hand-painted finish brings warmth without fussiness — it works equally well under fine dining plating or casual bistro service.
Stonecast plates stack efficiently thanks to their coupe design. The rim profile lets each plate nestle lower than a flat-rimmed plate would, saving shelf space in tight back-of-house storage. They are dishwasher safe and run through high-volume passthrough cycles without degradation, making them practical for any venue where the table turn matters as much as the plating.
