Electric Countertop Fryers

An electric countertop fryer is a compact deep-fat fryer that sits on an existing worktop and plugs into a standard socket, the practical choice for cafes, small takeaways, food trucks and pubs frying lower volumes without the space or power supply for a full floor-standing unit. It’s the plain buyer term for a “table-top fryer” and is usually the first fryer bought by a small or start-up catering operation.

Key specifications

Electric countertop fryers commonly draw 2-3.5kW per tank on a 13A single-phase supply, with oil capacity typically ranging from 3 to 8 litres per well and single or twin-tank configurations available. Expect a thermostat range of roughly 130-190°C, a cool-zone base to catch food debris and extend oil life, a 304 stainless steel body, and dimensions generally between 200mm and 800mm wide depending on tank count. Because they run on standard mains power, extraction needs are usually lighter than gas equivalents, though a canopy is still recommended for continuous frying.

Electric Countertop Fryers — FAQs

Is an electric countertop fryer powerful enough for regular daily service?

Yes for low-to-medium volume sites — a single 3kW tank comfortably handles small batches of chips, scampi or spring rolls, though very high-turnover sites should consider a freestanding gas or electric fryer instead.

Single or twin-tank countertop fryer?

Twin-tank lets you fry two products (like fish and chips) without cross-contaminating flavours or oil; single-tank suits simpler menus or where counter space is very limited.

Lincat, Buffalo and FriFri lead the stocked range, with Valentine and Parry also featured, suiting cafes, food trucks, small takeaways and pubs.
