Why this rinse aid earns its place
Winterhalter B2S is built specifically for hard water areas, where standard neutral rinse aids can struggle to leave a clean, streak-free finish. It's an all-purpose acidic base rinse aid developed for use on plastic and stainless steel in particular, run through professional warewashing machines to give dishes and glasses an excellent drying result rather than the spotting hard water often leaves behind.
It's rated across a genuinely broad material range – glass, plastic, porcelain, stainless steel, cutlery and utensils – and additionally suitable for silver and aluminium items, so it doesn't force a separate rinse aid for mixed loads. Despite being acid-based, it's suitable for all water hardnesses, not just the hardest areas, which makes it a sensible default rather than a specialist product only for problem sites.
The formula is odour-neutral and delivers a brilliant, streak-free shine, and – a detail that matters specifically to pubs and bars – it assures beer head stability, meaning glasses rinsed with it won't kill the head on a poured pint the way residue from a poorly rinsed glass can. As with the rest of the range, it's recommended alongside the matched Winterhalter warewasher and chemistry system. It comes as an unperfumed, blue liquid in a 10 litre pack, and carries no corrosive, irritant or flammable hazard classification.
COSHH: six habits of safe chemical use
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health — the routine every commercial kitchen and cleaning cupboard is expected to run.

Read the label and the manufacturer’s safety data sheet — the pictograms tell you what you are holding.

Who could be harmed, and how badly? Judge likelihood against severity before anyone opens the cap.

Eliminate or substitute first, engineer and organise next — PPE is the last line, never the first.

Keep the controls working: check ventilation, dosing equipment and storage stay as they should be.

Everyone who uses it knows the hazards, the correct dilution and the PPE — before the first shift, not after.

Products and processes change. Reassess when they do, and keep the record that proves it.
