Why this detergent earns its place
OSMOS Tannin Remover is a heavy-duty, highly alkaline auto-dishwashing detergent built for cabinet dishwashers, specifically formulated to deal with tannin staining – the tea and coffee marks that build up on crockery and stainless steel pots and won't shift with a standard wash. Its oxidising ingredients target and rapidly remove even built-up tannin stains without needing a separate product.
Beyond tannin, it rapidly removes fats, starches and proteins from crockery, giving genuinely thorough soil removal in both hard and soft water conditions, and it stays effective at low temperatures too. It's also formulated to remove pink algae that can develop inside dishwashing machines, and special ingredients help prevent scaling even in hard water areas, protecting the machine as well as the crockery going through it.
The highly concentrated formulation gives good economy in use, and it cuts through grease as part of its wash cycle performance. It is not suitable for use on silverware or polycarbonate, so those items need washing separately or with a different product. Due to Hazardous Goods delivery regulations this item is non-returnable once dispatched.
COSHH: six habits of safe chemical use
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health — the routine every commercial kitchen and cleaning cupboard is expected to run.

SDS
Read the label and the manufacturer’s safety data sheet — the pictograms tell you what you are holding.

Who could be harmed, and how badly? Judge likelihood against severity before anyone opens the cap.

Eliminate or substitute first, engineer and organise next — PPE is the last line, never the first.

Keep the controls working: check ventilation, dosing equipment and storage stay as they should be.

Everyone who uses it knows the hazards, the correct dilution and the PPE — before the first shift, not after.

Products and processes change. Reassess when they do, and keep the record that proves it.
