Why this glasswasher earns its place
The Winterhalter UC-M-E Energy FC644 is the energy-feature version of the UC-M-E undercounter glasswasher/dishwasher. It measures 600mm wide, 617mm deep and 800mm high, with a 72kg gross weight, silver finish and drain pump.
The manufacturer states that Energy feature models use an integral air heat recovery system, using steam from the washing process to heat the incoming cold water supply. That is the practical difference for busy bars and restaurants: the heat created by washing is reused, helping reduce running costs and improve the room atmosphere around the machine.
Throughput is listed at 32 glass racks or 28 dish racks per hour, with output per hour stated as 800 glasses or 504 plates. The temperature range is 40-66°C, and Winterhalter notes that UC machines are economical, easy to operate and have removable wash arms for easier cleaning.
