THE WORKING VIEW

Why this commercial dishwasher earns its place

The SD1000A CP D (Advanced, Chemical Pump, Drain pump) is the SD1000 engineered for kitchens running truly high volumes. It ships with a chemical pump and break tank fitted as standard.

Here's what that means in practice: you plumb the machine to a bulk supply of detergent and rinse aid instead of popping in fresh bottles. The peristaltic auto-dosing units—superior units in this spec—draw from that bulk supply and dispense the exact amount each cycle needs. No waste, no guessing, no operator fiddling with chemical concentrations. The break tank provides a reservoir so your supplier can deliver in bulk without the machine sitting idle waiting for the tanker.

The rest of the specification is robust SD1000 engineering: 500×500 mm passthrough format, four fixed cycles plus customisable My Wash, LCD display with temperature logging, heavy-duty pump, double-skinned hood, and low water usage. The integral drain pump is included, so plumbing is flexible. Three 500×500 baskets come standard.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

It's a reservoir that sits between your bulk chemical supply and the machine. Your supplier can deliver in bulk (e.g. a 200-litre drum) and the break tank buffers it. The machine draws from the tank at metering rate, so you're never scrambling to connect a new bottle mid-service.

The peristaltic auto-dosing units meter a precise amount each cycle. Your chemical supplier will specify the concentration of the bulk supply and the metering rate. The machine logs usage, so you can forecast refill intervals and cost.

No. The chemical pump is designed for bulk supply. If the pump or tank needs attention, the machine will alarm. Service contact is 01792 732702. Downtime is rare if your supplier schedule is reliable.

The break tank connects to your bulk supply delivery point and to the machine. Installation should be done by a technician familiar with commercial chemical systems. We can guide you; call 01792

That depends on your supplier and usage. A break-tank system typically saves 15–25% on chemical costs over bottled supply, plus it eliminates staff time spent changing bottles. The payback is usually within 6–12 months of high-volume operation.
