Why this disinfectant earns its place
Green Pine Disinfectant is Cleenol's quaternary (QAC-based) disinfectant, a clear green liquid built for general disinfecting across floors, walls, bins and drains rather than one specific surface. Being QAC-based puts it in the same family of disinfectant chemistry used widely across catering and hospitality cleaning.
It's specifically noted for removing unpleasant odours, which is why it's called out for use on drains and gullies as well as floors and bins — the areas of a kitchen or washroom most likely to hold onto smells that ordinary cleaning doesn't shift. The fresh-pine fragrance it leaves behind reinforces that the space smells clean, not just looks it.
Unusually for a disinfectant of this strength, it carries no corrosive, irritant or flammable hazard classification, making it a lower-risk product to have in general circulation around a site compared with some of the harsher alternatives in this category.
COSHH: six habits of safe chemical use
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health — the routine every commercial kitchen and cleaning cupboard is expected to run.

Read the label and the manufacturer’s safety data sheet — the pictograms tell you what you are holding.

Who could be harmed, and how badly? Judge likelihood against severity before anyone opens the cap.

Eliminate or substitute first, engineer and organise next — PPE is the last line, never the first.

Keep the controls working: check ventilation, dosing equipment and storage stay as they should be.

Everyone who uses it knows the hazards, the correct dilution and the PPE — before the first shift, not after.

Products and processes change. Reassess when they do, and keep the record that proves it.
