Why this one earns its place
This is the concentrate version of Jantex’s Green range glass and stainless steel cleaner, made from plant-based, biodegradable ingredients rather than the standard petrochemical formulation.
It’s specifically non-toxic, non-flammable, non-carcinogenic and non-harmful to marine and aquatic life, and it complies with both the EC Detergent Regulation 648/2004 and REACH 1907/2006 — current and forthcoming legislation the formula is built to meet rather than just scrape past.On performance, it doesn’t trade cleaning power for its greener credentials: it cuts through grease and removes finger marks effectively, leaving a noticeable shine on glass and stainless steel, and it’s ammonia-free and non-abrasive, so it’s safe to use on more delicate surfaces too, including plastics, chrome, ceramics and laminates.
Being a concentrate, it’s diluted at 1:50 for glass surfaces, which is what makes it go considerably further than a ready-to-use bottle of the same size — useful for cutting both cost-per-use and the amount of packaging moving through the kitchen.The 5-litre bottle itself is made from 40% recycled plastic, reducing virgin plastic consumption alongside the biodegradable formula inside it. For sites with an environmental policy to meet, or simply wanting to reduce the chemical load going down the drain without giving up a proper shine on glass and steel, this is the concentrate to standardise on rather than a compromise product kept alongside a “proper” cleaner for tougher jobs.
