Why this ice machine earns its place
The Polar C-Series CH479 is built for sites that need fresh ice on the counter without plumbing work. Lift the lid, fill the water reservoir and the machine feeds bullet-shaped cubes into the internal removable basket, keeping ice close to hand for drinks service, prep counters and occasional demand.
Its best use is steady, low-level service rather than the back-room output of a large modular ice system. Polar describes production of up to 12 bullet-shaped cubes every 10 minutes, with the removable basket holding approximately 120 cubes. For a compact bar, small restaurant, meeting room or front-of-house counter, that gives staff a practical reserve without relying on bagged ice for every service.
The machine is deliberately simple to run. Push-button controls keep training light, sturdy feet make it suitable for countertop positioning, and the manual-fill design means there is no water connection or drainage run to plan around. A supplied food-safe scoop keeps service tidy, while the lid helps hold the temperature inside the bin and protects the ice from contaminants.
