Why this countertop glass door fridge earns its place
The TEFCOLD BC30 MC is a countertop milk cooler and dispenser with a single hinged, self-closing glass door that keeps cartons and jugs visible at the point of service. Gross volume is 22 litres, 20 litres net, arranged on one black wire shelf inside a black cabinet with a coated black aluminium interior. The glass front turns a short stretch of counter into a chilled self-serve point without giving up much space.
The cabinet holds +2 to +10 °C with automatic defrost and a mechanical controller, so there are no menus to set — dial it in and leave it. It carries an energy class C rating at 200.8 kWh a year, about £50 a year at 25p/kWh, and runs at 44 dB, quiet enough for a service counter. It is rated climate class 4 for warm, busy service areas.
Externally it is a compact countertop unit; the interior measures 280 × 271 × 380 mm (W×D×H) and the cabinet weighs 25 kg gross, so it sits on any solid counter and plugs into a standard 13 A socket drawing 60 W. Cooling uses R600a hydrocarbon refrigerant on a 20 g charge. The self-closing glass door helps hold temperature every time staff or customers reach in.
