Why this hot plate earns its place
The CED Kubus brings a level of intelligence to hot food merchandising that makes the difference between "here's the heated food" and "customers want to buy that." The unit drops directly into a pre-formed countertop cutout, so your installation is neat and your counter surface is continuous — no stacking or improvisation around a standalone appliance. Once it's fitted, it becomes invisible infrastructure; what customers see is the hot food under professional lighting.
The heated ceran glass surface is the smart choice here. It accepts various sized gastronorm containers, spreads heat evenly via modular heater mat elements underneath, and because it's glass, it's vastly easier to clean than pitted metal or grooved surfaces. After service, you wipe it down without reaching into crevices or dealing with food residue in structural joints. The toughened glass sneeze guard runs the full height, protecting the display from the service counter forward — it's HACCP-compliant hot-holding display, not a casual warmer.
Base heat and surface heat are independently adjusted and locked via a digital temperature display and dimmer switch at operator eye level on the gantry — you're not guessing whether the display is at 85°C or 65°C, and you're not resetting the temperature between services. It runs 24 hours if needed. Holds three full 1/1 GN containers, all under infra-red quartz lamps that illuminate the food whilst heating it. Stainless steel and aluminium construction throughout; installation includes a lifting kit and a 2-metre mains lead with concealed control box. The display ships factory-set to hold food core at 85°C, which meets the 63°C statutory minimum with a comfortable safety margin.
