Why this heat lamp earns its place
The Hatco DCS-400-1 is a front-of-house heat lamp first, not a back-room utility fitting. The bright nickel-plated finish gives it the polished look needed for self-service and assisted-service counters, while the solid black base keeps the lamp visually grounded and stable on the countertop.
Its purpose is straightforward: focus heat onto plated or displayed food during service. The telescopic design lets staff raise or lower the lamp, so heat can be aimed more closely at the counter setup in front of them. That adjustability is useful on buffet stations where dishes, trays and serving vessels change through the day.
Hatco describes the lamp as lightweight and portable, making it a good fit for flexible buffet areas rather than a fixed gantry installation. It can be placed where the service actually needs heat, then moved or stored when the layout changes.
