Why this stainless steel worktop earns its place
This is a long worktop in a compact footprint. At 2500 mm, you're getting excellent linear prep distance, but at 700 mm deep it fits into tighter kitchens where 800 mm or wider would dominate the room. The stainless steel 430 plate is 0.8 mm thick, strong enough to handle knife work and heavy cookware without deflection, and light enough at 52 kg that moving or repositioning doesn't require a second team.
The waterproof melamine backing is essential in a slim worktop like this—it protects the underside from the moisture that rises in any busy kitchen. Combined with welded corners that leave no seams or traps, it's a genuinely hygienic surface for high-volume prep and plating.
Grade 430 stainless resists the daily acid and salt of food prep, cleans down in seconds, and won't stain or corrode under normal kitchen conditions. At 40 mm height, it's comfortable for long sessions of plating, butchery, or prep work without the strain of working on too-low surfaces.
Check the narrowest clear opening, then every corner, landing, step and lift from the kerb to the room.
Stated machine geometry while kept upright. Allow handling room and confirm the complete route.
