Why this centre table earns its place
The DR042 is a no-nonsense work surface at 900mm × 600mm. It's not oversized, but it's purposeful—one person can work on it comfortably, two can share it for short bursts. In a small kitchen, a butcher shop, a catering prep room, or a quick-service operation, this is a genuine workhorse. You can use it for prep, plating, or as a temporary holding surface between services.
Built from 304 stainless steel with a satin finish, it's built to the same standard as Holmes' larger tables—no shortcuts on material or execution. It arrives fully assembled, ready to place. At 11.5 kg it's one of the lightest in the range, which means it's genuinely mobile: two people can reposition it in seconds if your layout needs to shift. Sits on feet, so you can slide it easily and clean underneath.
The open space underneath is deliberately open—nothing welded or trapped—making deep cleans straightforward. A chef can slide it forward, swab the floor, and slide it back. The 900mm height is standard for standing prep work.
Check the narrowest clear opening, then every corner, landing, step and lift from the kerb to the room.
Stated machine geometry while kept upright. Allow handling room and confirm the complete route.

Enter the usable gap with the door fully open.
