Why this wall shelve earns its place
This is a shelf with one clear job: get a commercial microwave, or the pots and pans stacking up around it, off a worktop that's already too busy. At 1500mm wide and 300mm deep it's sized for real kitchen equipment rather than a token bracket, and it's built from 1.2mm-thick grade 304 stainless steel — heavy-gauge material chosen for its strength as much as its finish.
The mounting is more thought-through than it looks. Triangular wall brackets carry the load and spread it properly rather than relying on the shelf plate alone, and two fixing holes give a solid connection into the wall behind. Depending on how the space is set up, the F10514N shelf can be supported from underneath or hung directly from the brackets — whichever suits the run of wall it's going on. A 20mm gap is left behind the shelf, deliberately, so power leads for a microwave or other equipment on top have somewhere to sit rather than getting pinched against the wall.
It comes with fixing instructions and two nuts and bolts included, though screws and plugs aren't supplied — worth having a set to hand for whatever wall type it's going into. At 9kg gross it's a substantial piece of kit in its own right, which is exactly what you want from something meant to carry more weight above it. Backed by a 5-year warranty, it's built to stay put once it's up.
