Why this product earns its place

Service trolleys are unsung heroes. The Vogue DN585 moves what needs moving: plates from the dishwash to the pass, refuse to the bay, clean linens to the hot press, small appliances during setup. Built from durable polypropylene, it shrugs off the daily knock, stands up to industrial cleaning chemicals, and is dead simple to wipe clean.

The 90 kg capacity is genuine — tested, reliable — with each shelf rated for 30 kg. Small lips on each shelf keep items from sliding during transport, so crockery stays stacked, tea urns don't tip, and whatever you're carrying arrives intact. The trolley rolls on castor wheels, and two of them lock, so you can park it mid-service without it rolling away. Assembly takes minutes; instructions are included.

At 980mm wide and 500mm deep, it fits through standard doorways and moves through narrow corridors. For venues or kitchens where trolleys live outdoors (garden event sheds, covered service areas), this polypropylene construction shrugs off rain better than bare stainless steel. It's freestanding by default, but wall-mounting is an option if you're short on floor space and want to tuck it away when not in use. Locks are available as an accessory.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

The 30 kg per shelf is the safe load for each of the three shelves. The 90 kg total means you can load all three shelves to capacity and move safely. In practice: put heavier items (crockery, full water jugs) on the lower shelf, lighter stock above. Don't exceed 30 kg per shelf even if you're technically under 90 kg total. If you're moving something outside the normal crockery/linen/equipment range, contact 01792 732702 for advice on weight distribution.

It's designed for both. The polypropylene construction is naturally weather-resistant — rain doesn't corrode it like it would bare steel, and it won't rust. Garden events, covered terraces, marquee setups, outdoor bar service — all are fair game. That said, don't leave it full in direct sun for weeks; polypropylene doesn't love extreme UV exposure. For regular indoor/outdoor use (catering events, outdoor venues), this trolley is ideal. For permanent outdoor installation, stainless steel might be better.

They help significantly. The lips are low (a few millimetres) and designed to catch small items and provide containment during normal transport — the kind of pushing and pulling you do in a kitchen or around a venue. They won't stop a shelf full of crockery from sliding if you brake hard mid-push, so don't treat the trolley like it's completely load-locked. Stack sensibly, don't overfill, and push smoothly — the lips do their job as a secondary safety feature, not a complete restraint.

Very easy. Polypropylene tolerates most commercial kitchen detergents and sanitisers. Wipe with a damp cloth and your standard degreaser — it handles it all. Avoid very harsh or abrasive scouring pads, which can scratch the finish, but normal spray bottles and microfibre cloths are fine. In high-use venues, a weekly deep clean with hot water and detergent keeps it fresh. Rinse well and air dry. The wheels may need an occasional wipe to stop debris building up in the axles.

Two of the four wheels have brakes that lock solid — proper brakes, not just friction grip. That's enough to hold the trolley in place during service, loading, or when you're working nearby. You don't need a separate brake system. In a busy kitchen, having two braked wheels is standard practice: push to position, activate the brakes, and work without the trolley rolling away. The two non-braked wheels swivel freely, so you can steer and push easily.
