Why this parasol earns its place
Shade that stays put in the same spot all afternoon is only half the job outdoors — the sun moves, and a parasol that can't move with it leaves half a table exposed by mid-afternoon. The Seville's tilt mechanism is built for exactly that: a simple adjustment lets you angle the 3m round canopy as the sun shifts, so the tables underneath stay covered rather than just the ones directly beneath the pole.
The canopy itself is UV-resistant and woven to a 245gsm thickness — dense enough to hold up to a season of outdoor use without the fabric wearing thin or letting light punch through. Opening and closing it is handled by a crank handle rather than wrestling with a canopy by hand, which matters when it's staff doing it every morning and evening rather than a customer setting up a garden umbrella once a year.
Underneath, the build is aluminium: a 48mm diameter pole supported by a two-pole mast that keeps a 3m canopy upright and stable rather than swaying in a breeze. At 2480mm to the top and finished in navy blue, it's sized and coloured for outdoor dining rather than a domestic patio. It's rated for outdoor use, and — as with most parasols this size — the base is sold separately, so factor that into any order.
