Why this parasol base earns its place
Not every parasol base needs to stand in open ground. This one's built to work with a table rather than around it — a flat, low profile plate in powder-coated white steel that tucks beneath a table top instead of taking up floor space of its own. At 620mm square and 18kg, it's got the mass to do its job without needing to be the biggest thing on the terrace.
The fitting is straightforward: a tightening adaptor secures the pole in place, and it's sized for the two diameters that cover most of the market — 38mm and 48mm — including Bolero's own Seville and Sicily parasol ranges. Get the pole seated and locked, and the base does the rest.
Bolero's guidance is to use it under a table rather than freestanding, letting the table's own footprint work alongside the base's weight to keep the parasol upright through a normal service. White powder coat means it disappears against most furniture rather than fighting for attention, and the steel construction is rated for outdoor use, so it's not a fair-weather fitting.
