Why this kitchen canopie earns its place
This is Lincat's SmartVent canopy — a stainless steel extraction hood built to sit over a full 2400mm run of cooking equipment. Where a fully bespoke ventilation system means custom fabrication, drawings and a build lead time, Lincat's own line on this range is that it's a cost-effective alternative: a specified, ready canopy rather than a made-to-measure project, at a scale that suits a substantial cooking bank.
The canopy body still holds a low-profile 740mm height at this length, which matters when working height above the cookline is at a premium. At 2400mm wide and 1200mm deep, it's built to cover a long run of appliances under one continuous hood rather than splitting extraction across multiple smaller canopies.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, finished silver — the standard for anything sitting directly above live cooking, where grease, heat and cleaning chemicals are a daily reality. At 117kg gross it's a substantial lift, so the mounting needs to be properly planned into the install, not treated as a quick job on the day.
