Why this kitchen canopie earns its place
This is Lincat's SmartVent canopy — a stainless steel extraction hood built to sit over a 2000mm run of cooking equipment. Where a fully bespoke ventilation system means custom fabrication, drawings and a build lead time, Lincat's own line on this range is that it's a cost-effective alternative: a specified, ready canopy rather than a made-to-measure project, scaled to a longer cooking line.
The canopy body stays low-profile at 740mm high even at this length, which matters when ceiling height above the cookline is tight. At 2000mm wide and 1200mm deep, it's sized for a proper run of equipment — enough to cover several appliances side by side rather than a single station.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, finished silver — the standard for anything sitting directly above live cooking, where grease, heat and cleaning chemicals are a daily reality. It's a serious weight at 101kg gross, so the lift and mounting need planning into the install rather than treated as an afterthought.
