Why this extraction fan earns its place
When you need extraction with less noise and a slightly smaller footprint, the double-skin fan-in-box hits the balance. This Combisteel unit combines a centrifugal fan with double-skin insulation (inner and outer casing with insulation between), which muffles the operational noise that comes from spinning fans. The 9 mm inlet and outlet connectors (the "9/9" in the spec) are ideal for smaller-scale commercial spaces: prep rooms, smaller kitchens, or as a targeted extraction point for a single station.
At 550 mm cube and 25 kg, it's compact enough to nestle into plant rooms or above suspended ceilings without structural concerns, yet the double-skin construction keeps it performing reliably through service. The insulation also helps maintain air temperature in the ducting—less condensation, fewer cold spots where grease deposits build up. This matters for long ducting runs or kitchens that run hard all day.
9 mm ducting is smaller than 12 mm, which means lower material cost and easier routing through tight spaces. The unit is built for all-day service: light-to-medium extraction loads that happen in smaller operations, but with the durability and insulation you'd expect from a serious commercial solution, not a bargain-basement alternative.
