Why this extraction fan earns its place
The fan is where extraction happens. This Combisteel fan-in-box combines a high-output centrifugal fan with double-skin construction—inner and outer casing with insulation between—that reduces operational noise and maintains airflow efficiency over long duty cycles. Rated at 1 kW, it's sized for busy kitchens where steady extraction matters: hobs, fryers, and heavy cooking loads.
The unit itself is compact: 650 mm cube overall (650 × 650 × 650 mm), so it fits neatly above suspended ceilings or in plant rooms, and at 28 kg it's manageable to install and service. The double-skin design does two things: it insulates the motor and fan wheel, reducing the noise your kitchen hears, and it helps the air maintain its temperature through the ducting—important for long runs where condensation and cool spots would otherwise cause problems.
Connection is straightforward: 12 mm inlet and outlet fittings (the "12/12" in the name) integrate with standard commercial ducting. Pair it with your extraction hood, and you've got a system that moves volume quietly and reliably.
