Product description

The Parry Air In Canopy AITT1875IF is a hugely reliable method of ensuring sufficient replacement air in introduced into the kitchen, whilst still providing impressive extraction.

Manufactured with a full length air in plenum, replacement air is drawn by a supply fan/s, from which air flows in to the kitchen via diffusers in the front face of the canopy. This effective solution provides up to 85% of the volume of extracted air into the kitchen. This model has a generous 2475mm width.

THE WORKING VIEW

Why this kitchen canopie earns its place

A working kitchen's air balance is critical to both compliance and comfort. The Parry Air-In Canopy AITT1875IF is an engineered solution to a specific problem: extracting cooking fumes while providing the replacement air that kitchens legally need. Without replacement air, extraction systems work harder, energy use climbs, and temperatures become difficult to manage.

This model incorporates a full-length air-in plenum, meaning replacement air is actively supplied into the kitchen rather than simply allowing air to seep in through doors and gaps. A supply fan draws fresh air into the plenum, and it's distributed into the kitchen via diffusers across the front face of the canopy. This design delivers up to 85% replacement air relative to the volume being extracted—a significant engineering advantage. The 2475 mm width suits mid-sized kitchens and medium-temperature work areas, from prep rooms to live cooking lines.

Constructed entirely in stainless steel, the canopy is designed for the harsh environment of a commercial kitchen: steam, splashes, heat cycles, and daily cleaning. The material won't rust, won't discolour, and develops a patina that improves with age. With a 1-year warranty and 1-year extended warranty option, the build quality reflects the professional standard expected in catering operations.

The Air-In design is specifically engineered to help kitchens meet replacement air requirements under Building Regulations and HSE guidance. The plenum supplies up to 85% of replacement air by volume, which removes the compliance burden of relying on passive infiltration through doors and gaps. Always confirm the full installation (ducting, intake, supply fan) meets your local authority's specific requirements—the canopy is one part of a complete system.

Fresh air is drawn by a supply fan into the plenum running the full length of the canopy. That air then flows into the kitchen via diffusers built into the front face of the canopy, creating a gentle, even distribution rather than cold draughts. The design is comfort-focused as well as compliant.

The specification doesn't state decibel output, but the plenum and diffuser design is intended to distribute air smoothly, which typically results in lower noise than point-source supplies. You should obtain a sound-level specification from Parry before installation if noise is a critical factor in your space.

This is a significant piece of installed equipment. Installation will involve electrical connections (note the electrical safety notice on the product), ducting work, and possibly building works. Use a qualified commercial kitchen installer who has experience with Parry equipment and can verify Building Regulations compliance.

Yes. Stainless steel is the standard material in professional kitchens because it's durable and easy to wipe down between services. Use appropriate stainless-steel cleaners to maintain the finish and prevent water spotting. The canopy design minimises crevices where grime can hide.

If the supply fan stops, the replacement air supply stops, and extraction will be imbalanced. The whole system needs to work together—monitor the fan's operation as part of your daily pre-service checks. Discuss maintenance intervals and fault diagnosis with your installer.
