Why this contact grill earns its place
This is the contact grill for places that serve paninis but don't have the volume of a dedicated sandwich shop. Six full-size sandwiches per batch is meaningful capacity—you're running service, not cooking in isolation, but you're also not dealing with a 800mm-wide machine on a modest counter. The 2,200W output delivers the performance you need without oversizing the power requirement.
Like its larger sibling, the heating elements are cast directly into the ribbed plates, so you get rapid heat transfer and visible char marks that look professional. The temperature range of 80°C to 280°C gives you flexibility—hold warm bread at the lower end, sear meat and poultry at the high end for use as sandwich fillings. You're not locked into one type of service.
The footprint is economical. At 435mm wide and 490mm deep, it fits into smaller kitchens, café counters, and delis without the spatial commitment of a larger grill. The ribbed plates wipe clean easily, and there's no complex disassembly required. That practical design is what makes it work in smaller operations where space is at a premium and labour availability is limited.
