THE WORKING VIEW

Why this product earns its place

The most compact variable-speed blender in the Sammic range, built for kitchens with lighter blending loads or limited cupboard space. The 240W motor adjusts from 1,500 to 15,000 rpm, giving you precision for gentle emulsifying and full power for rapid breakdown when needed. The 223 mm liquidising arm is designed for batches from 2 to 10 litres—smaller than the XM-22 but still long enough for stockpot work.

Stainless steel construction and a tri-blade assembly handle daily service without fuss. The quick-detachable arm strips clean between tasks. The Life Plus motor is rated for continuous operation, so you can keep it running through a service without overheating. At this price point and size, it's the right choice if you don't regularly blend batches larger than 10 litres.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

Yes, for most prep-kitchen work. A 10L batch covers 30–40 portions of sauce or purée. If you regularly need to blend 15–20L in one go, consider the XM-22. The XM-12 excels at smaller, more frequent blending runs.

It's lighter duty—suitable for daily use but not for punishing 8-hour service blending without rests. Smaller batches, shorter blending times, and moderate workloads are what it's built for. If you run a high-volume fryer station blending hollandaise all service, step up to the XM-22.

Yes. The 223 mm arm reaches stockpot depth. Blend hot soup carefully (steam pressure builds), and let the motor cool for 30 seconds between batches if you're working continuously.

For emulsions (vinaigrette, beurre blanc), start at 2,000–4,000 rpm and increase gradually. For soups and purées, use 8,000–12,000 rpm. Maximum speed (15,000 rpm) is overkill for most work—use it only when you need ultra-rapid incorporation and can afford the noise.

Absolutely. Variable speed costs less than a second fixed-speed blender and covers far more work. If your prep spans emulsions, soups, and sauces, one variable-speed blender beats two or three fixed-speed machines.
