THE WORKING VIEW

Why this stick blender earns its place

The Robot Coupe CMP350 is built for kitchens where volume matters but space doesn't. At 4.1 kg of all-stainless steel, it's designed to handle relentless back-to-back blending — soups, stock reductions, bulk emulsions — without losing consistency or power. The compact 90 mm width still fits into tight pass areas or hangs neatly on its supplied stainless steel wall rack, yet the extra mass signals durability: heavier tools typically mean more robust internals and longer intervals between servicing.

The self-regulating speed system is what separates Robot Coupe from budget alternatives. Push gently into delicate emulsions and the motor backs off, preventing splashing. Push harder into a thick vegetable reduction and power ramps up automatically, with no dial-turning mid-shift. This keeps results consistent across multiple operators and multiple shifts — crucial when texture and flavour are part of your reputation. The patented removable foot and blade assembly comes apart by hand in seconds. Knife, bell, disc and tube options arrive with the unit, so you're equipped for purées, emulsions, breadcrumbs and light grinding all in one machine.

Stainless steel throughout — motor housing, foot, blade attachments — means this tool is built for daily washdown without degradation. At 230V with a standard plug, it installs anywhere with no special electrical work. The unit carries a year's parts and labour warranty. Beyond the first year, Craven Cooling (01792 732702) can arrange planned maintenance or repairs with minimal downtime — replacement feet and blades are kept in stock.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

The CMP350 is slightly heavier (4.1 kg vs 3.9 kg) and is engineered for higher sustained workload. If you're blending 8+ batches daily or working at high volume, the CMP350 stays cooler and more responsive. For lower-volume use (5–10 blends a shift), the CMP300 is fine. The difference is about durability and power reserve when the kitchen is at pace.

Stick blenders are designed for food that has liquid in it — soups, sauces, emulsions. If you're making nut butter or grinding seeds into paste, that's a job for a food processor or specialized grinder. The CMP350 will struggle if the mixture becomes too dry, and you risk overheating the motor.

During a 5–10 minute blending task, no. The ergonomic handle is designed to reduce fatigue, and at 4.1 kg it's not heavy. If you're holding it continuously for longer than 15 minutes, fatigue sets in — but that's outside the normal use case for this tool.

Twelve months of parts and labour, covering defects in materials and workmanship — mechanical failures, electrical issues, rust or corrosion. It doesn't cover accidental damage (dropping it, running it dry), misuse, or lack of maintenance. Standard commercial tool warranty.

Stick blenders need liquid to work effectively — they're not grinders. If you're trying to blend dry spices or seeds, the motor will struggle and overheat. They're engineered for soups, sauces, stock-based purées, and emulsions. For dry goods, use a food processor or spice grinder instead.

Contact Craven Cooling on 01792 732702. Most repairs (especially the removable foot or blade assembly) turn around in 24–48 hours. For urgent issues, Craven keeps stock of replacement feet and blade sets, so you can swap components same-day and send the motor in for proper servicing later. That's the advantage of working with a specialist supplier rather than a general catering merchant.
