Why this mixer earns its place
A 10 litre mixer handles the work of a small prep kitchen or a café's morning dough. It takes 6 kg of bread dough or 8 litres of whipped cream. The planetary action means the mixing head orbits while the bowl rotates, so you load it once and walk away. No hand-mixing batters or wrestling dough.
The aluminium bowl is the right size for one person to lift in and out between batches. The three attachments — hook for doughs, beater for fillings and batter, whip for aeration — cover the work most small operations do. Attach them by hand; no tools needed. A café that does its own pastry dough will use the hook. A bakery starting out uses the whip to add lift to sponge.
10 litres is the threshold where a mixer stops being a luxury. If you hand-mix dough twice a day, or you are whisking cream for more than one event a week, this size breaks even fast.
