Why this gas range earns its place
The Falcon F900 solid top oven range is built around cast iron cooking—a material that holds and distributes heat in ways stainless steel simply can't match. The single bullseye design concentrates heat at the centre, reaching 450 °C where you want maximum power, and graduates outwards for searing, sautéing, or holding dishes warm on the cooler zones. The bullseye is removable, so if you need direct flame under a pan instead of radiant heat, you can take it out and drop the 10.3 kW burner straight to your cookware.
That's the philosophy here: the tool adapts to what you're cooking, not the other way around. Cast iron doesn't have a flat temperature zone like stainless—it creates heat zones you can use strategically. Food cooks differently on cast iron—better browning, more responsive temperature, the kind of control that separates cooking from service.
The oven cavity below holds a 2/1 gastronorm double tray, with five shelf positions and two shelves included as standard. The oven runs from 80 to 280 °C with one-touch piezo ignition—no faff with lighter sticks, just press and flame. The door has a metal-to-metal seal that keeps oven heat inside. At 155 kg and 910 × 800 × 900 mm, this is a serious piece of kitchen equipment, supplied on adjustable feet so you can level it on any floor.
