Why this gas range earns its place
Built to work hard in a busy kitchen, the Opus 800 OG8001/N/RHD combines four powerful gas burners with a large capacity oven below. The steel chassis is described by Lincat as strong and robust, and the heavy duty pan supports are there for the sort of day-to-day wear that commercial cooking kit has to take.
The hob gives chefs 7 kW burners with dual concentric rings, so heat can be focused properly whether you are bringing something up fast or holding a gentler simmer. Below that, the 6 kW oven is sized to take 2 x 1/1 GN, which makes it a practical bit of kit when you need flexibility between oven work and top-of-range cooking.
The unit measures 920 x 600 x 800 mm and weighs 117 kg gross, so it is a substantial freestanding range without being overblown for the space it occupies. With a temperature range from +120 to +280 °C, it gives a clear working span for everyday oven jobs, and the right-hand opening door is useful where access has to work with the kitchen layout rather than against it.
Check the narrowest clear opening, then every corner, landing, step and lift from the kerb to the room.
Stated machine geometry while kept upright. Allow handling room and confirm the complete route.
