Why this induction hob earns its place
Induction hobs are prized in busy kitchens because they heat only when a magnetic pan is in contact with the glass surface, cutting fuel waste and keeping the workspace cooler than gas. This single-unit model runs on a household 13-amp plug, making it viable for outposts and secondary prep areas where dedicated power runs don't exist.
The five programmed functions — Cook, Fry, Water, Soup and Simmer — let staff move between tasks without fiddling with dials. The 4-hour timer works as both a cooking alarm and a safety cutoff, and auto shut-down protects the hob if a pan is left unattended. Eight power levels give enough granularity to hold delicate sauces or blast-fry in quick succession. The glass surface is tempered and polished, and the plastic casing is designed for light-duty countertop work.
Flat-bottomed pans between 12 and 26 cm diameter work best. Stainless steel and cast iron pans conduct heat efficiently. The 2kW output is enough for a single service line — sauces, small batches, holding temperatures.
