THE WORKING VIEW

Why this bratt pan earns its place

A gas-powered bratt pan built for serious cooking. The Falcon Chieftain G2994 LPG holds 32 litres and handles six cooking methods: griddle, shallow fry, deep fry, boil, simmer and stew. One machine does the work that other kitchens split across five units, which saves space and focus. Feed it a dish type and the pan delivers the heat.

Gas heats faster and recovers faster than electric elements, so your cooking pace picks up. That matters when you're running service — you finish a batch of stew, crank the heat back up, and you're ready for the next 15 minutes of simmering before covers land. The cast-iron pan spreads that heat evenly across the entire surface. Cast iron retains temperature steadily and produces even cooking results from corner to corner — that's why it's the choice for serious kitchens.

Built robust: stainless steel structure with an easy-clean exterior, cast-iron pan inside, manual tilt hinges for pouring and braising. At 32 litres, 165 kg and reaching 95–195°C, it's a capable piece of equipment. Propane gas supply, 230 V control circuit, rated 16,000 W — ask us about gas-line installation if needed.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

The G663-P runs on propane gas, so it heats faster and cools faster — good for service pace. Electric pans (E2962, E2994) don't need gas, so they're easier to install in some kitchens. Both offer six cooking modes and cast-iron pans; choose gas for speed, electric for simpler installation.

Gas flames deliver heat in bursts, so the pan responds quicker to temperature adjustments. Electric elements heat steadily but take longer to ramp up or cool down. When you're running covers, speed matters.

That covers the full spectrum: 95°C for gentle simmering, 190°C for frying. The range gives you control — dial in the exact heat you need for each technique.

You'll need a propane supply. If your kitchen doesn't have gas, ask us about installation — we can advise on connecting the bottle or a tanked supply. Call 01792 732702 for help scoping the job.

Hand-wash the cast-iron pan with hot water and detergent after each service, and dry it thoroughly to prevent rust. The stainless exterior is low-maintenance. Gas burners need occasional inspection — your servicing engineer can check them. Falcon covers that with the warranty.

Two-year commercial warranty covers parts and labour. For breakdowns or routine servicing during use, call 01792 732702. The optional one-year extension gives you longer cover if you want peace of mind.
