Why this meat fridge earns its place
The Foster EcoPro G3 EP700M 10/110 is the standard-construction version of Foster's dedicated meat fridge, built with a stainless steel exterior and aluminium interior rather than the heavy-duty stainless throughout used on the premium model. It's aimed at butchers and meat-handling kitchens that need the EP700M's tighter temperature control without the premium-grade finish.
Net volume is 480 litres across three 2/1 GN shelves, holding -2 to +2°C — the band suited to fresh meat rather than general chilled storage. Foster Circulair II technology keeps air distribution even across fully loaded shelving, and this standard-construction model is rated Energy Class A with an EEI of 30.25%, consuming 1160.7 kWh a year on a 1239W input — a genuinely efficient result for a dedicated meat fridge. The Fuzzy Logic II controller's "e" mode is built to trim energy use without compromising the temperature band the cabinet is designed to hold.
The "Airlines" ventilation system cools the compressor directly, cutting its running time by around 15%, while a thermal break and hot gas door heater minimise temperature loss and condensation at the door seal. Shelves carry an anti-tilt system rated to 40kg each, and the door is self-closing and lockable with a 90° dwell for loading and unloading. It's supplied on 80mm castors with brakes on the front two. Refrigerant is R290, and Foster backs it with 2 years on-site parts and labour warranty.
