Why this thaw cabinet earns its place
The Foster EcoPro G2 CT75 GJ159 is a controlled thaw cabinet for kitchens that need frozen stock moved into production in a planned, repeatable way. Rather than leaving product to thaw in general storage, the CT75 alternates gentle heat with refrigeration through dedicated air ducting and fans, giving a managed process for bringing food from frozen to around +1 to +4 °C in approximately 7 hours, depending on food type and thickness.
The specification gives a -21 to +4 °C operating range, 10 shelves and 2/1 GN double compatibility, so it is built for batch thawing rather than small ad hoc use. Stainless steel exterior construction, an aluminium interior, 50 mm insulation and R290 refrigerant support a serious back-of-house workflow where food safety, loading discipline and cleaning access all matter.
Plan the site carefully: the explicit size rows list the cabinet at 700 mm wide, 820 mm deep and 2080 mm high, with a 143 kg gross weight and a 230V/50Hz single-phase supply. It also has a 3000 W rated input and plug notice, so electrical sign-off is part of the buying decision, not an afterthought.
