Why this under counter fridge earns its place
The PC001 is Polar's C-Series under counter fridge in white — a compact chilled cabinet built to sit beneath a worktop in kitchens that don't need heavy-duty, all-day-access refrigeration. It's positioned by Polar as the entry point of the C-Series range: general-purpose chilled storage for sites where the fridge isn't being opened constantly through service.
Inside, two adjustable shelves give 66 litres of net storage, held at +2°C to +5°C with a fan-assisted and static cooling combination. Energy Class A performance means it draws just 100W and consumes 215.3kWh a year, with an EEI of 11.0% — genuinely efficient for a unit this size. It's rated for a 10°C to 32°C ambient operating range and carries a climate class 4 rating, and runs on R600a refrigerant, on a 230V supply.
Build is straightforward and practical: a lockable, reversible door for security and left- or right-hand opening flexibility, fixed rear castors for easy repositioning, and an easy-clean white exterior. Temperature control is via a digital display with user-friendly controls, and defrost is manual rather than automatic — a trade-off that keeps the running cost and price down on a unit built for lighter use. It carries a 2-year parts and labour warranty and weighs 44kg gross.
