Why this under counter fridge earns its place
The Foster HR200 is a single-door undercounter refrigerator from Foster's commercial range, made to fit beneath a worktop and keep chilled storage at the point of use. It slots into a counter run in place of a full-height cabinet, putting 100 litres net capacity across three shelves right at the station. Running at +3 to +5°C, it holds prep and par-stock at the right temperature for prep and service.
In service, undercounter refrigeration holds prep and par-stock cold right where it is worked, so staff are not crossing the kitchen to the walk-in mid-rush. The single hinged door opens onto three-shelf storage for the day's stock, while the top surface stays usable as counter above. The stainless-steel exterior, aluminium interior and 50mm insulation are made for the hard-working line in a professional kitchen, with fan-assisted cooling and R290 refrigerant moving cold air through the cabinet.
As with any undercounter unit, the fit decides the job. The cabinet is 824 x 684 x 755mm externally and 84kg gross, so measure the aperture, route in and door-swing clearance before delivery, and leave a ventilation gap so the unit can shed heat when built into a run. Energy-rated A-class, it is listed at 0.77 kWh per 24 hours and 280 kWh/year, with 280W rated input from a 230V supply. Check that the electrical supply reaches the final position before install.
