Why this under counter fridge earns its place
The Foster HR150 is a single-door undercounter refrigerator, built to tuck beneath a worktop and bring 73 litres net chilled capacity to the point of use. It is a back-of-house workhorse from Foster, sized to slot into a counter run rather than stand as a full-height cabinet, running at +3 to +5°C for prep and par-stock holding.
Under-counter refrigeration keeps prep and par-stock cold directly at the station, cutting trips to the walk-in during service. The single hinged door opens onto two shelves of storage for day-to-day stock, and the worktop-height body lets the surface above serve as usable counter. Stainless steel outside, aluminium inside and 50mm insulation handle daily kitchen heat, with fan-assisted cooling and R600a refrigerant doing the cooling work.
Fit is the thing to get right with an undercounter unit. The cabinet is 830 x 605 x 640mm externally and 69kg gross, so measure the aperture height, width and depth, allow for door-swing clearance, and check the route into the kitchen. Energy-rated A-class, it is listed at 0.678 kWh per 24 hours and 247 kWh/year, with 210W rated input from a 230V supply. Leave a ventilation gap so the unit can shed heat in an enclosed run, and confirm the electrical supply reaches the sited position before installing.
