Why this upright earns its place
An upright fridge earns its place by how often the door opens. The HJ300U holds 335 litres of chilled storage behind a single door in an ultra-slim body, which puts a working cabinet's worth of stock inside the kitchen rather than in a store room somebody has to walk to. Williams builds this one for a compact footprint, so it goes into the gap at the end of a run instead of taking a bench section off you.
Chilled duty means constant traffic — a fridge door gets pulled twenty times where a freezer gets pulled twice. The door is self-closing and barrel-locked, with a magnetic balloon gasket that pulls to a 100% tight seal, so it shuts behind a chef who has already moved on. The full-length integral 'easy grab' handle can be taken at any height, which is what you want when one hand is holding a tray. Inside, anti-tilt trayslides hold a loaded tray level as it comes out, and the whole racking system lifts away for a wash-down rather than being cleaned around.
The exterior is foodsafe stainless steel; the interior is aluminium with radiused base corners, so spills have no square angle to collect in and the lining pulls the cabinet back down to temperature quickly once the door stops moving. Behind that sits 80 mm of precision-injected high-density polyurethane insulation with low GWP and zero ODP. Temperature runs off the CoolSmart Controller — electro-mechanical buttons behind an IP55-rated display, which is the kind of panel that survives a wet glove and a nightly wipe-down. Heavy-duty non-marking swivel castors with brakes let the cabinet be rolled out for cleaning and locked back down without marking the floor.
